Little Nemo Dream-Master is a platform game released on the NES in 1990 by Capcom. It is based on a Japanese animated film.
The game revolves around a young boy in his own surreal dreams as he journeys to Slumberland. Each stage is, in fact, a dream, from the forest populated by giant mushrooms, to the rooftops, to the upside-down world, to the final, massive stage that is Nightmare Land. The little lad, Nemo, has quite the imagination. Nemo, the young boy can ride certain animals such as a frog, a gorilla, or a mole, by feeding them sweets and treats. Each animal has its own skills needed to complete each level. The purpose of the game is to travel to the Nightmare land to rescue Morpheus, the king of Slumberland, from the clutches of the evil Nightmare King. Nemo carries with him an endless supply of bubblegum, so you can throw some at the creatures lurking to thwart Nemo on his dream-travels.
Each stage has such variety, you'll go from one massive level to the next and not doubt for a moment that you've definitely advanced to a different area, getting to the next area and then exploring it can be genuinely fun and challenging. And the Verdict is...
There are some genuine challenges to be found here, and wrapped up in pretty wrapping paper. This is a decent enough platform game with plenty of quirky extras to keep you playing. Good game. |
