Knight Rider is a racing video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System that is very loosely based on the all-time classic television show of the same name. It was released in Europe in 1991.
The whole story basically is t terrorists have raided a U.S. military site, and only one man and his car can chase them across the US to stop their evil plan. A time limit helps put pressure on you throughout and your attempts to defeat the terrorist forces by simply driving after them and blasting them to pieces!.
Now this isn't exactly a game you would call deep. You drive around streets getting shot at by other cars, while chasing a specific car to shoot down. Then you do it again. And again. And again!. Not only is it tedious, it's boring and frustrating. There is no way to really avoid the enemy bullets. You can jump over them, but the second you land another wave is coming at you. You're energy doesn't start out at full, so you can get beat rather quickly. With no power-ups except the very occasional missile, death is swift for Michael and K.I.T.T. But even if you could survive longer, the game would become even more tedious, even more swiftly! And the Verdict is...
Even hardcore Knight Rider fans won't enjoy this one!. After playing a couple times, shooting and being shot at you won't want to play it again!. |
