Airwolf is a multiplatform shooter video game based on the well known 80's TV series of the same name. The game places you; the helicopter hero, in the cockpit of the famous Airwolf helicopter, where your mission is to shoot down enemy aircraft, and rescue prisoners of war.
The game contains thirty missions, each with the objective being to rescue prisoners being held captive in enemy bases. The layout of each level changes as you progress. There are three types of bases:
Airwolf is equipped with missiles and a machine gun in order to fend off enemy craft and their array of weapons. In order to successfully complete a mission, you must rescue all prisoners and reach the border of the level without losing all of your lives. The controls are standard for flying/shooter games, The up and down buttons make the helicopter go higher and lower, the A-button fires your machine gun and B Button fires the missile's. What’s good is that you can control the speed of your plane slowing it down where neccessary and speeding it up where needs must. And the Verdict is...
This game i feel has always been under-rated, the quality of the game-play, the vast amount of levels, and more than anything the totally kick-ass 80's theme tune to go with the missile firing, machine gun fun, make this game 100% value for money. Brill game! |
