Ghostbusters is a licensed game produced by Activision based on the blockbuster movie of the same name. It was designed by David Crane, produced by Brad Fregger, and released for the NES in 1990.
The game starts with a choice between four drive-able cars, and you must stock up on equipment and make money to complete their objectives.
It's a single-player side-scrolling game where you control a Ghostbuster through various stages based on the film, making their way to the museum before time runs out. Two levels involves riding around in the heroes' famous car and another level requires you to control the Statue of Liberty, shooting fireballs!. And the Verdict is...
If your a major fan of the original film, then maybe give this one a go, for the only reason that it sticks quite closely to the original movies plot.. If not, stay the hell away from this train-wreck!. The gameplay is drab, the controls are terrible and the design's of the levels look to be done by a 2 year old!. Everyone knows that video games based on popular licenses are usually lackluster and best forgotten, and there's certainly no exception with this one!. Avoid!. |
